Moving closer, choosing exposure, composing the shot
Last night, my strolls took me to a part of Tokyo I don’t venture to that often. The area is a bit out of the way but also close to spots that I frequently walk or take the train to. It’s a superb area for photographing moody nighttime scenes without distractions.
This particular space I shot used to be a shop that work on Vespas and other motor scooters. I like to think they exclusively wrenched up vintage Italian bikes, but I think I spied some newish vehicles there. Regardless, that business is long gone. In its place is a vintage furniture shop and the location is perfect— Just outside the high-rent bubble. However, I didn’t check the prices of the furniture.
